Being a student at Kibo every day really surprises me. The apps that I’m able to build, the assignments that I’m able to accomplish. Kibo keeps on stretching me in ways that I never thought.

Maryanne is a Kibo student from Nairobi, Kenya. At 19, she was diagnosed with Narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that causes overwhelming daytime drowsiness. After trying various tactics to alleviate this condition, all were to no avail. In the future, Maryanne wants to harness technology to contribute to the awareness, research, and community building of local narcoleptic patients.
