Applications are open for the degree in computer science. We’re looking for collaborative problem solvers with an entrepreneurial drive to learn and build.
The process is fully virtual and includes synchronous and asynchronous components.
Admissions requirements

To be eligible for admission, you must
- Be at least 16 years of age on July 1, 2023
- Live within 100km (2 hour drive) of a local hub:
- Nigeria: Abeokuta, Ibadan, Lagos
- Ghana: Accra, Kumasi
- Kenya: Nairobi
- Provide proof of secondary school graduation or equivalent by July 1, 2023
- Demonstrate English language proficiency, and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to the degree required to engage in university-level learning

Complete a learning challenge which will help us – and you – determine your readiness for online learning, and what motivates you to study at Kibo.
Reasoning Test
Complete an online test to ensure you have the logical and mathematical reasoning skills required to succeed in a rigorous computer science course
Finalist interview
Attend a live virtual interview where you’ll speak with our team. This is a chance to help us learn more about you, and for you to understand learning at Kibo.

Below are key dates to remember as you apply:
April 21 2023: early application deadline. All admitted students who apply by April 21 will receive a new laptop, free of charge, when they enroll
May 15 2023: application deadline for July cohort
June 12 2023: enrollment deadline for July cohort. Admitted students must enroll and pay their US$50 tuition deposit
July 3 2023: orientation week begins
July 10 2023: classes begin
